Been reading these forums for a while. This is my shop. The building is my Dad's, but he wasn't using it, so I moved in, and it's all my stuff. I moved in about a year ago, and at first only had half of the building, but I just recently annexed the rest of it.

Welcome to the forum! The shop looks good!

I see a few woodworking tools. And space to work on cars. You do,a little of each?

A project that I have been working on. Tecumpseh XL Cast Iron that my friend owns. It is semi-restored.

Hi, I do both, but I would say that I do more mechanic projects due to the amount of machines that I have that break. I turned 18 last December. It is on his land, I just use the space. Wish I did have my own building though.

Thanks Tarnished. My neighbor was going to take it to the dump, but I offered to take it to use due to all of the containers that were laying around. I brought it home in the golf cart.

Here are my two biggest projects that are ongoing.

My 1968 Cub Cadet 124. Needs new clutch disc, back rims and tires, and solenoid. It sat in a barn for 20 years before I got it running. Right now it is at my friend's shop torn apart, because my Dad has a no junk policy, which he sort-of enforces.

1988 F250 Diesel former farm truck that a friend gave me. Stopped for the winter, but next spring I will continue grinding down and painting the back part of the frame. Needs floor, door repair, paint, bed put back on, etc...

Right now it is at my boss's property, again due to the no junk policy.:(

Way down in the bowels of NH. A little ways away from me.

Today I made some more progress on the engine. Got the gas tank finished and mounted, fuel filter done, and gas lines squared away.

Posted one picture of this in free parking, but still trying to keep this updated.

My buddy picked up this snowblower with the intent to resell after fixing. It's a Simplicity 860. Needed minor carb work and had a flat tire. Finally finished it today.

OK, so another update on what I have been up to. Today I built a safety center for all of my safety equipment. I know it looks like ****, but chip board was all that I had. At least it works.

Great shop you have and I like the way you are using it. Working on small engines was always fun for me. I have always enjoyed rebuilding them. On the safety center, you are doing just right! Most folks don't look at safety until they have spent several hours in the emergency room to get metal out of their eye, or stitches in their hand.
Nice place and keep the photos coming. We appreciate your posts!!

Best Regards
Herb

Thanks for the reply Herb.

My latest project was to build a table. Finally finished it today. I like how the stain and the poly came out.

Today, I decided to start making another table. This one I am going to give to my Grampa, because I don't need another one.

Had my buddy Andy over today, and we worked on it for a couple of hours. Pics are of Andy sanding and measuring.

We had a few tool casualties. One of my clamps crapped out on me. Then, the handle that lets me pivit my chop saw broke. The bolt that it was hooked to had a funny and somewhat stripped head. I had to take Andy home for supper, and on the way back I stopped at the Home Depot and bought a Gator Grip. I put it in a ratcheting screwdriver, and I now have a new handle.

I got the table top mostly done this evening. For this table, I used Pre-Stain, which I didn't use on the first table. It makes a lot of difference. Always going to use that from now on. Then I stained it, and got some of the Wipe-On Poly on. I'm done for the night, and will post more pics when I continue on it.

To be continued...

My Mom wanted a box to put a swing machine in. I told her that she could work with me and we would build one. She has never done woodworking before, but she says she enjoys it. We only got it partially assembled before we ran out of wood. We will be going back to the Home Depot tomorrow for more wood and other supplies.

Today we made some more progress on the box. It is now totally put together and stained. We still need to put polyurethane on it. What do you think?

So today, I found a trailer in my friend's junkyard. He was going to scrap it, but I took it to fix up and use on the golf cart. It has been sitting out in the woods for years. Axle is shot, and so is remaining tire.

Pic 1: As it looked when I got it.

Pic 2: Axle and junk wheel gone.

Pic 3: Started spray painting, then called it a night. Will finish painting tomorrow.

What Do you think? Thanks, Ryan.

on your safety cabinet--if you hang masks by the stretch strap, the straps will stretch out and be worthless

Thanks for the comments guys. If you have an old fridge, don't send it to the dump!

Today, I didn't go to school. Was driving there, didn't feel great, and ended up throwing up 3 times in a Walgreen's Parking lot. Went home and slept until noon. Later in the day, I felt like a million bucks, so I continued working on the trailer. Ended up getting all of the wood done. I painted it with clear Thompson's water seal.

I also started getting the wheels rounded up. I decided to use the wheels off of my junk electric scooter. The joys of two piece rims!

Today I finished up with the axle and wheels for the trailer. All I have to do now is pick up a couple of reflectors for it. Then I will start on the hitch for the golf cart.

Got the reflectors and put them on. Trailer is now complete. Now I will have to build a hitch for the golf cart.
