The kitchen came out great unfortunately at loss of garage space. I have a w/d in my garage and had to do a bathroom remodel to relocate them out of my garage. Soon the garage will be all mine. LOL. Kicking the wife out. On a serious note looking foward to see how you do garage.

Thanks Taumac! Sadly, we are clean out of bathrooms to remodel, or outside space to add on, or money :). But I'm planning to build some cabinets to contain the washer dryer and replace the shelves above.

Beautiful house/kitchen! Turned out great :)

Thanks Kyle! We are pretty stoked with the result.

LOL - Love the "Wolf" toolbox - did it come with the stove? Wow that's a beautiful kitchen! Nice job on the table too.

The badge came with the stove hood, but I opted not to stick it on and the HF tool chest seemed like the perfect spot. I need two more now to go on the chests on the other side. Can anyone out there hook a brother up? I can't afford to buy two more hoods!

Wow, now that kitchen really made the lose of the garage easier to swallow i'm sure. Well done!

Thanks Dubber! It was an easy trade off. But I can already envision a list of project that I want to do where a full size garage would be better, so I'm sure I'll regret it eventually!

Beautiful kitchen. Nice piece of doug fir too. If you really want a matching set of toolboxes, I expect that you can get additional Wolf badges from your dealer... the cost of the badges might be significant though when compared to the cost of the boxes themselves.

BTW, you've seen this thread - right? If not, it might be inspiration for your bike building dreams...

Awesome kitchen, I really like the soapstone. Be honest though, how often you gonna use that pot filler? (unless you're a pasta cooking maniac)

Thanks BC1. Soapstone is nice, but it sure is soft and it really shows the scars of life. The nicks and gouges give it character, but my OCD side is still not amused... I have turned on that pot filler exactly four times so far, and two of those were to show it off to someone. It's kind of an extravagance for sure, but what the hell. My other hobby is home brewing, so I plan to use it for that, at least until I build myself a dedicated brew rack in the garage, which I will have to find a way to sandwich in next to my keezer that I haven't built either. So many projects, so little money...

Thanks Dhubbard. Seriously, I hate to even ask how much a badge alone would cost, and oh yes, I know that thread very, very well. My aspirations pale in comparison to what Kristofer has done with his business, I just want to make a bike or two for myself, but he has inspired me. I now have a nagging desire to learn how to tig weld and use a mill and build myself a frame jig. And as a certified bike geek, his stuff just makes me all warm and woozy feeling. I'm trying to talk a buddy of mine into ordering one of those fat-wheel bikes, but so far no luck. Fingers crossed...

When I get home from work today, the walls should be all framed up. My hat's off to anyone reading who does remodel work for a living. What a pain in the **** that must be fitting plumb and square work into an old "un-plumb" and "non-square" house. I know the general rule is to match what's there, but sometimes that won't work, like when they are installing a pocket door into an existing wall that leans. Every single wall seems to be out of plumb by the exact same amount, about 3/8" from top to bottom. The foreman and I were speculating that the entire house (1950 single story slab on grade) has either slid slightly downhill, or else the original builder's level was off by 3/8" and the stupid thing has always been like that!

I think the same builder built our house to Jimbo!! Everything in the entire house was off, by about the same amount too!

You live in west Texas!? :lol_hitti Oh, yeah, nice remodel by the way!! Kitchen looks great! Thanks for the posts!!
