So I got this chest for Christmas/birthday and have slowly been organizing it. I have the 260 piece tool set as seen in the first pic on the bench above that I have added to but wanted to get things consolidated in one chest. The gray roll around you see in the first pic had a hodge podge of tools/hardware/spare parts in it that I still need to go thru and organize yet.

The top drawer will be my plier & screwdriver drawer, this is the last drawer to tackle yet.

I was able to consolidate both 3/8" and 1/4" drive sockets in the 2nd drawer.
I opted to use the .99cent socket rails from HF because they are cheap and I didn't feel bad cutting them down to minimum lengths to help fit everything in the drawer but keep metric SAE seperate.

For the Wrench drawer I used the foam rails from Cman. I liked this option best because I was able to get maximum number of wrenchs from front to back. I used the left over pieces to keep my most used sizes of gear wrenchs on top

1/2" drive drawer, nothing real special going on here. 1 large wrench in there.

I'm thinking of painting the gray roll around to match the Cman chest later this year.

There's you first pic (that didn't show up). Very nice, I've got the same with top chest & intermediate chest but with red drawers as well.

I got that first pic fixed but I edited the second one on photobucket to rotate it and repasted the img link but it didn't fix it.:headscrat

Yes it is, I have some Thorsen sockets for sale in the classified section now. I was holding on to the the rachet as a backup since I only have one 1/2" ratchet, are you interested in it?

You have lots of wasted space. For your sockets, get some Hansen socket organizers, Oreilys has them for 9.99. That way, your sockets will be vertical and you wont have dead space in the socket drawer. If you check out my video, I have them in my bottom drawer.

Or if you want to go with the tray option get the HF ones that everybody is going nuts over . The new black ones not the old red ones . They are $9.99 for a set of 3 SAE or Metric 1/4,3/8, and 1/2" all in a set for $9.99 :D.

What kind of HF impacts do you have and how are they?

I don't have a HF impact, Your looking at a IR 231 1/2" impact, a CH 3/8" air ratchet, everything else is HF though. I just picked up that stubby 3/8" air ratchet, not sure if I'm gonna keep it though, way down on torque, not sure if the small size offsets that disadvantage.

I like being able to see quickly my metric and SAE sockets and when they are on there side I can do that plus grab the right size. I also like the ability to grab just the metrics, when I wrench on the Suzuki quad there is no need for the SAE stuff to leave the drawer. Maybe as I work out of this box more I'll change my mind but that was my thinking as of now.

I have the same Craftsman set, I think you did a great job organizing it. For the longest time I used the case that came with it, it did the job but not as nice as what you have now. Instead of the Craftsman roll around like you have I elected to get a Harbor Freight toolbox used. I didn't organize it though, I just took the drawers out of the Craftsman case and put them in the Harbor Freight drawers. I will eventually get socket rails though, I too like them over the socket trays.

I went on a buying splurge and bought more tools now that I have that HF box, however to be honest I kinda wish I had kept it simple like you have.
