I have been looking at so many garages on this site for several months now and this one really got my attention,as I also have a small one car garage that I am in the process of remodeling to be a suitable home for my 1966 Fairlane GT. This garage is what I wish mine would look like . I travel a lot for my business and I am away for lengthy periods , as I am college football scout and recruiter. I never seem to find the time to get after my project . I think that this example should be considered the best small 1 or 2 car two units on this site . I just wish that I went up to Canada to recruit , so I could find an excuse to come by for a look !Well done indeed.

My latest addition . Another restored pump . It's a Tokheim 1250 from the '70's .

Another local! I'm in North Van!

Anyway, I'm having some real trouble finding stuff locally, I just began my project... where did you source all this stuff!? I too want a stainless top (or a butchers block if I could find one that's reasonably priced), but I'm going to throw it either on a home made wooden bench or even an old desk, and preferably on casters. How much does stainless for roughly 5 1/2 feet run, and where did you get it? I've been looking at prep tables for commercial kitchens on craigslist, but am having issues finding someone that will respond to my emails... :headscrat

I also can't find any stools or anything. I might get some cheap cushions from ikea or homesense and throw them on some empty old kegs, see how that works out. :lol_hitti
Looking on craigslist I can't find ANY cool garage decor... I don't know where to find nice steel pegboard for my walls (can only find it online) and even garage door threshold seals are impossible to find. Everything seems to be an uphill battle at this point. Very frustrating.
Really feels like my only 'win' was a rolling stool on sale for $10 at Canadian Tire. We will see how long (short) it lasts, but at that price...

Nice garage, and nice fox! Makes me miss mine.

Too many little cars in Europe. No horsepower and they sound like **** except for a few lambos, ferrarris etc .

You don't know what you're talking about.
I love the Volvo 850 Turbo exhaust - That inline five sounds spectacular.

And it's not my wife's junk I have to get out of the garage , it's from 2 sons that are both twenty something , have no reason to leave home and continue to pile up their "valuables" in my future show place !

Heh. I'm the 23 year old son cleaning out the garage and taking it over, basically. :lol_hitti

The stainless steel top is easy to do . Go to Metal Supermarket and they can cut stainless sheets to any size you want . For the edge , I used a piece of Aluminum angle that I polished and butted up to the stainless. It looks pretty close in color to the stainless and was considerably cheaper than getting the top made . Look for some old kitchen cabinets . A lot of people who are renovating have trouble giving them away sometimes . Paint them and cover the top with two layers of 3/4 " plywood for strength and you've got a great base for your bench and storage as well .

Your garage just keeps on getting better. I'm really surprised that the moderators of this forum don't feature it as a prime example of a great one car garage. Many people don't have a two car or larger space ( especially those with older homes or townhouses) , so it would be great to see these smaller spaces featured . It seems that the elaborate and large seem to dominate this board as we all like to see and dream! But focusing on the more compact ones could potentially provide needed inspiration for those working in more confined quarters. The amount of planning and execution needed to complete even a smaller project like this is impressive and I trust that many of us wish we could do it as well .

Here's my latest addition. I found a Model A rim less the spokes out running one morning. Then about a week later I found a Model T grill shell ! A Canadian one at that !

I couldn't figure out what to do with them until I realized they'd make great picture frames .... I was given the wooden frames and with a bit of glue and Rustoleum ...

Believe it or not, I was just running through a residential area of the city . They were out at the curb for recycling ...Two different days mind you and different streets.
