Pretty good match with my bike!

Unfortunately, this is what it looked like when UPS delivered it. My dealer is checking with his manager to see what kind of compensation he can give me.

I think in this situation a refund of anything less than half the paid amount I would demand it to be repalced.

****,

Mines sitting in my dealers storage space waiting until we can get together. He was on vacation last week and I will be out of town when he comes around this week. I just hope that mine is OK......

To be honest about it, I would tell them to furnish another box and that they can have that one back when the new one gets here.

Yes, green tires.

As for the damage, I'm going to see what my dealer says. I will defintely take it for half off. We'll see...

You should be able to get 40% for that. They will get you a different cart before they will give 50%.

It looks like you were able to straighten it out pretty good.

no way I would live with that. It's on the front of the cart and you would be reminded of it every single time.

I think unless you could straighten it completely out, I'd probably ask for a replacement. Who knows, maybe you'll decide to get rid of it some day and that damage will kill the resale value.

That ***** about the cart, I love the extream green. It is a good match with the bike. IMHO the damage would always bother me, but that is just me. I would want a new, not bent cart.

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
Send it back, one of my Matco side cabinets that I bought in 1983 was racked when the dealer unpacked right in front of me. He gave me 20% off, which I took, now everytime I look at it I feel like a fool. Plus within the last year the paint has popped off of the corners where the spot welds are on the front and back, so it just further accentuates my stupdity...

nice cart, you could unbolt a bigger vise from a bench, put a rag on each jaw and tighten it to flatten it out

although i would definatly want a new one especially since u prolly paid around 500-800 for it. the first thing i did when i got my HF box was to check it over for any damage and i was pretty lucky, nothing but there is one teency weency dent that's hardly noticeable and i didn't notice it till 2-3 months after i got it so idk if it was there when i got it or not. But if i had a nice tool cart like that i would want a new one.

Looks like the color matches up pretty good. Congratulations. Sorry about the damage though. I agree with others that said it would bother me all the time.

As soon as I saw that it would've been back on the dealer's truck. End Of story. I bought a Snap On side locker that had a dent(nowhere near as bad as that cart is), and it's on the back or a side, not sure because you can't see it from the front. And I got a killer deal. Bunch of the local SO dealer used to put on tool shows(they still might, not sure... I don't wrench anymore & switched jobs, don't know the dealer at new shop). It was there, and I made my dealer some rediculous offer. He didn't want to do it, but the district manager overheard & came back with a counter offer that wasn't much more than what I had offered, so I bought it.

I wouldn't take it. The dealer or Snappy can file a claim and get their money back. Then if they're lucky (and depending upon the UPS or freight rep), still have the box to sell to another guy at a discount.

My dealer is willing to give about 15% off any box you buy to begin with.

btw, is that box the USA or Canadian-made by SO or is it the rebranded Chinese Sunex?

Well, saw my s/o dealer yesterday and I had the choice of a new cart or this one for $465 ($815 list). I kept the cart. The damage really isn't as bad as it looks. It's pretty much straightened out now anyways. Bottom line is that I'm still a happy Snap-on customer.

Glad to hear you're happy with your decision. That's the most important thing.

Brian,

Made it home last night and put mine together. Here is the new bouncing baby cart:

And here is the proud papa behind the new baby..........:

For those that are wondering, the main box is "Lime Green" and the cart is the newer 'Extreme Green". The old color resembles the one that Mac uses on their boxes.

One thing for sure, if you guys want to solve your low light problems, get a box this color....

Hard for me to tell the difference but they sure are bright. I bet it really does help in low light
