Really Snap-on made a tool that is used on only a single year car? A single year **** car?

I saw the 74 Pinto. I really didn't think that it could really mean "Use this ONLY on 1974 Ford Pinto's" I just typed "Snap-On S8702" into Google. Like I said, I didn't try real hard. Keith

Who knows?
I MUST have it!

I am the caretaker of the "Henry Ford 1974 Pinto Heritage Museum". The Cater/Camber is off on all of our MINT 1974 Pintos! I will pay $10k for it tonight!

Just messing. That's an oddball for sure. No wonder it's the first one I've seen.

I have a set of those (6 pcs) made by OTC for Pinto/Mustang II...makes it about 100 times easier to align one. I used to own "a few" Cobra IIs.

Wonder if OTC made the SO ones as well?

Pics of yours?

Pics of them in use?

They're in the bottom of my box in OKC, I'm in Pensacola with the family on vacation. I'll try to remember to post next week.

No pics in use, and the cars are all gone now.....although I did see my first one (owned it from early '80 til late '07) on craigslist this week. Tempting, but they ruined it IMO by changing the paint to a non-available combination.

Ribbedroof if right they worked on pintos and mustang II for several years. It took three sizes to fit them. Install tools, hand tighten them, loosen control arm bolts and the adjust camber/caster with wrench on tools. Makes the job much easier. I have noticed that the aftermarket Mustang II front suspensions do not have the holes and brackets to use them to align the front ends. I guess they don't care if they align right or not. This type of adjustment was used by Ford for many many years. Almost all Fords that had control arms had slot adjustments that require a special tool to set them easily as a one man alignment. The worst to set was early Fairlanes/Comets that had the suspension spring on the upper control arm that you had to move to align the car. The tool for them was about 4 feet long and fit between the upper and lower ball joint studs and then stuck out under the front bumper to give you the leverage to move that spring loaded arm. I don't miss how much work those two models were to adjust.
