My girlfriend and I are closing on our first home very shortly. I already have plans for the garage going on in my head but I took a little time to put a ROUGH photoshop together of what I would like to do with it. I have a 2003 Mustang Mach 1 that will be living in the garage once I take it off the road to relieve it from daily duties. It's a 400 sq/ft garage which is plenty big enough for me at the current time. Here it is the way it is now:
It only has one electrical outlet in the entire garage so more will be installed after I get in there and use the garage a little. I want to see where I would like them before I finish the garage off. I also want to put in some shop lights and install in-ceiling speakers to crank some tunes while detailing my car and customer's cars. I want to do some kind of flooring but not sure which way to go....snap together, epoxy or stain/seal it. The walls will be painted as well...maybe a light gray with a thin red|thich black|thin red stripe to go around the garage to simulate the paint on my Mach 1. As you can see from the photoshopped image below, I'm going to use mainly Craftsman products for storage and workbench. My dad has the Craftsman cabinets in his garage and I love the storage capacity and the looks of it. The hot water heater will be covered with a door made out of pegboard to hide it from sight and be useful for hanging things on. The ********* thing to the right is a refridgerator that I will buy new or used off Craigslist and be the TV stand for the tv. The reciever(not pictured) will be placed on top of the fridge as well. The tall cabinet to the left of the air compressor will be on wheels and store all my detailing products and small tools that I will collect over the years. I would like to put another tall cabinet on the wall to put our golf clubs in as well so they are not out in the open. Lawn equipment and ladders will be stored in the shed that will be built in the backyard after the fence gets put up. It will take a little time to get all this done due to our budget but we have a 30 year mortgage to pay on! Onto the PSed pic of the garage...it's the best I could do to get my thoughts on "paper!" Any thoughts or recommendations? The detailing cabinet and fridge may switch places so it will be easier to get into the fridge from the inside of the house.
