First of all thanks to everyone on here for the inspiration of my first garage. Little by little its coming together. Here in my workbench I built inspired by a few of you on here. Also bought a hf44 because of you guys, thanks!

Also plumbing question

The garage is brand new and has cold water ran for a sink and outdoor spicket. Well they never put in a drain. I would like to hear some options for me. The sink will be right next to a gutter that I could tie into if needed. What are my options for sink drainage?

Welcome to GJ, Zeke!

Be sure to check your local code to see what is allowed. Hand sinks usually cannot go to storm drains. A quick and easy solution now that does not comply could come back and be expensive whenever you decide to sell the place.

I'd say find a sanitary sewer to connect to to do it right.

As long as your not planning on disposing of chemicals, which is a no-no anyway, you could just use a seepage drain. They are quite common even in commercial apartments etc. Area drains at the bottom of steps used to go to the sanitary sewers but treatment plants were getting too much rainwater and outlawed that. Now-a-days if the drain is open to the sky it has to be piped somewhere besides the sanitary sewer. Seepage drains are usually just perforated pipe burried in a shallow gravel filled trench. Just get some cheap perforated black corrugated pipe, dig a little ditch or you can dig a hole and curl the pipe in a circle. Just put it below the frost line if you're in a cold clime. You could also burry a plastic bucket with plenty of holes drilled in it. Half inch holes 3/4" gravel.

Nice car, nice garage, nice bench, But..... all I see is the snap-ties.

Sorry, can't help with the sink until you break those ties off.

What are you using the sink for?

A lot of State allow gray water to be discharge onto your lawn but not directly to storm drain though. If you discharge anything directly into the storm drain, you must have a permit.
