So heres whats happening in Undenäs Sweden nowadays

I have made a new addition, a tool box, its a cheap thing, 1499 SEK thats about 230 dollars.

i bought it in "Jula" its something like harbor freight here in sweden, the brand name on the box is "Hard head"

Hard... Head... LOL :p

And i added some chrome strips on the open door grips on my "josef" cabinets from IKEA.

Well as always its poor quality pictures, but here you go:

Time for an update. I had some ball bearing drawer slides left over so I made some sheetmetal storage under my bench:

I painted it pink metallic with a drak red "cracked paint" effect:

This is the first time I've noticed this thread. My wife loves IKEA. She thinks of it as a giant Pinterest store. Every time we go to Atlanta for a day or so, she tries to fit in a trip. I also have another connection with Sweden, I work for SKF (Spoons, Knives & Forks, just kidding) maybe you're heard of it?
During our trips I'm on the lookout for things I use for the garage. I noticed the drawer set and thought it would be good for drill & tap storage. It keeps those tools near the drill press plus opened up a couple of drawers in the main box. The black drawers look great I may repaint mine one day.

Your English is great and the Swedish chef reference was funny.

Great storage ideas!

I've been to Uppsala and Stockholm twice. Hope to make it a third trip soon.

Din verktygslådor ser bra! Och din Engelska är mycket bättre än min Svenska!

I like your pull out wire rack shelf. Very clever. I see that as a multi use drawer for somthing like plasma cutting or prep work.

How are the drawers? Do they seem like a good quality, or will the sliding mechanism fail after a short while?

Great job Sol!! You should be very proud of the organization and outcome of your storage solutions. I might just have to stop by an Ikea store next time I see one. Keep up the great work... Hope to see more as it happens.

Thank you all for the nice feedback!

Very nice, but I have to ask - what's a glis?

Glis is a storage box from IKEA, but if its the meaning of the word your looking for then its like a "dim shine" like from moonlight.

I just wanted to say, GREAT JOB!
I hope you don't mind if i steal your idea ;)

Steal it! ;)

I see no insulation between the walls?? mmm Ur keepn warm??how??,thermal geysers,or natural gas, just turn up the heat, causes its cheap?? Putin must not be sellnu Russkie gas.

like ur storage stuff, really like that paint deal, pink and red,and strange effect, looks cool i think, best to u from Texas, where its cool tonite, but not everynite for sure :3gears:

i think you are referring to "Vvmvbb"s post, where he is showing his non insulated walls, my garage is insulated, but not warm :lol_hitti

in helmer it is powdercoated metal on a powdercoated metal slide, so if you put some ptfe or teflon spray it slides too easy for my taste.
