So I ordered the Tekton modular storage system, and I have to say, I am pretty impressed with them overall. I am going to use this for all my electrical (mostly 12v) installation tools and equipment. Will be MUCH better than working out of a tackle box! As usual, Tekton posts the country of manufacturer on their website, and as advertised, the boxes themselves are made in Germany by Sortimo.IMG_0783.jpegIMG_0784.jpegIMG_0785.jpegIMG_0777.jpegIMG_0778.jpegIMG_1079.jpegIMG_0774.jpeg

Those look pretty snazzy!

Where do I see more pics of the 55 in the background?
Yeah I am pretty happy with the Tektons! Not to take away from the post, but here are a couple more of the iron pig.. Just had to pull the ****** on it, something is a miss in it, so of course when you start that, I figured it was time to have the upholstery redone since I just finished redoing the dash and made some pods for the EGT, boost, temp and RPM’s.

Quick question, is the lid on the top toolbox removable at all? Was curious if it was a clip type of hinge or had a pin running through?

How does it feel? It looks like a flimsy rubbermaid organizer that will flex and bend the moment it actually gets used/moved or has any weight in it. But only having pictures can be deceiving.

Report back once you get some tools in it and actually use it. I'd be interested, I think it would great in my apartment.

I got the socket set and the empty one with organizer tray for my Jeep. The cases are nowhere near something like Milwaukee packout stuff, but if it's not just rolling around or stored in a spot that won't get hit and rolled around like under my Tuff in my TJ, they are great.
I would NOT be tossing them into the back of a truck, and they are no where near as waterproof as something like packout, but they are also much cheaper.

I have the Bosch version and they are holding up being overloaded for 10+ years.
They are a bit flimsy but as I said they do hold up.
Dropped one fully (over) loaded on the corner and it survived almost unharmed.

Not being water proof is not a big thing for me even I constantly bring them to job sites because I have a shell on the back of my truck.

I would almost never leave tool boxes in an open bed not only because of theft but the sun doing its thing on plastic.

So I loaded all my stuff into them, and ironically I had the same feeling when I first got them.....the felt a bit flimsy. But I can say after having everything in them, I am impressed. Considering these have been around for quite some time and they are just being marketed with the "Tekton" name on them, I have read nothing but rave reviews about the Sortimo boxes (as well as Bosch), and quite a few people haver had them for over a decade. Time will tell, but I agree these aren't manufactured in an attempt to replace things like the Milwaukee Pack Outs. In summary I am more than happy with them and would purchase them again.
