I am a new member to the forum and wanted to share my recently acquired tools. I have had a few screwdrivers and a really cheap ratchet/socket set for a few years now. The last time I changed my car's oil I realized that my tools needed to be replaced, most of the sockets had been worn out. It was time for an upgrade.
I read many of the posts on this and other forums to get an idea of what I should get. I had no idea there were so many great brands, I was only familiar with the stuff sold at Sears and HF, not the greatest quality. After much thought and advice I got what I consider to be a good mix of quality tools. The vast majority of my tools are made in Germany. I am not too crazy about the highly polished chrome tools, so just about all of the U.S. and China made tools were out. Plus I have never had problems with any product that said "Made in Germany"
What I got is certainly not cheap, but I think they will last me for a long time. I do like ratchets so I got a few from different manufacturers.
