My Totally Useless Blackhawk Jack (J-17)

It's totally useless because I don't own a car with metal bumpers that this thing can attach to. Having to feed my addiction for cool Blackhawk stuff, I acquired this J-17 Lift-Post because I thought the condition was really nice. I don't think it was ever really used as its still wearing its original paint and decal. It also came with a promotional tag and instruction card all from 1948.

Heck you are lucky at least it will work on older cars if not the current crop. How many items in relatively recent times have come and gone and remain till today as almost completely useless. Let me see:

8mm & Super 8 movie cameras.

The unit pictured in the middle is the one that I've already got. The two on either side are being offered. So if I pick up the remaining two, that would make them even more useless as a set of three, right?

Unfortunately, they don't stack or store as easily as an 8 track tape, but hopefully they'll be more reliable than a Yugo.....

I know it's a super old post, but I just found mine under my Dad's house I just inherited...
Can you remember what you paid for yours & maybe how much the guy was offering the other ones for? Mine too is the J17 model (mine needs a paint & stickers job )
I'm very curious as to their value and wondering if I should pursue doing a restore job
