Well here is my toy box. Sorry it's not as impressive as the ones I have seen on here. GOOD LORD you folks have some out of this world garages. I had limited funds so I had to settle for what I have, just glad to have something The old box was a 19'x19' built in 1925 (detached from the house). In '01 it was torn down and replaced by a 20'x33' garage including the car port in the rear. It's also wired for 220 when I get a LARGER compressor. My new dream project will go in the car port which the wife is not to happy about because she has been making sneak attacks on the car port by decorating it and storing her patio junk and what nots back there. She says you haven't even completed what you have. don't you bring another car back here, AND I SAID, ........ NEVER MIND ....Thats getting off subject. Any way I built a show case for my models and collector toys,an HO slot car race track, for my son, storage cabinets, mig welder, compressor ( too small only 20gal. tank) sectional roll up door, 8 electrical outlets installed a ceiling fan & plenty of lights inside and out so when darkness falls it's still like day light even at 12 midnite Ohh! and three dogs to eat any would be intruders By the way this forum is long over due coz there is so little help from do-it-yourself books and stores. I'm blown away by all your ideas and amazed what people can do with a one car garage. I only know about three books on ultimate garages and they need to be revised after seeing what everybody is doing here............

Destruction In High Gear Now. FROM THIS TO ..............THIS. Please 4give me i have no idea why the pics are out of order.

I admire each and everyone of you guys and ladies. Without the net we would never have the oppurtunity to meet each other and bounce ideas back and forth.

That truck is friggin sick!

With vBulletin the only way to really keep the pictures in order is to upload them one at a time instead of a bunch at once.

Thanks I am just now getting the hang of posting stuff on here, :rocker: A LITTLE LATER I'M GONA POST PICS OF ENGINE PROJECTS I'M SLOWLYYYYY WORKING ON AND SOME PICS FROM a shooting of the ESPN2 TV show "THE TRUCK STOP" hosted by Rebecca Grant. The tapping of the show took place last year around Sept. /Oct.'05. I was invited to bring my truck by friends who own a custom rod shop but the filming took place at their own personal garage, who by the way has two garages on their property, one is a three car garage and the other is a two car garage. :3gears: MAN SOME GUYS HAVE ALL THE LUCK!!

ok here are a couple of pics of the engines waiting for me to do something to them . the early hemi came out of a '52 Desoto IT'S A 276 cid 2bbl. 7.1:1 compression, 160 hp. looking for a single 4bbl manifold but don't have the money for one if came up and slapped me in the face. Egge and Kanters and Hemis Unlimited have the other parts I need. But right now I'm spending money on the Pontiac wagon and the 454 U see here. it's going to be a blown motor and i want that to go into a '70 to '75 slamed and gutted  Chevy Blazer 2X4 OF COURSE.NO 4X

You're way ahead of me. I have an over sized two-car garage but can only get one car in it. (pack rat). I like the idea of models displayed in the garage. I noticed a couple of helicopters in there. I flew them in Nam, so they caught my eye. Your truck is outstanding! Great work on both it and the garage!

THANKS Dan for the compliment. I had it bad too thats why the new garage,LOL. I HAD AN UNDERSIZED TWO CAR GARAGE AND COULDN'T FIT ANY VEHICLE IN IT. Thank you for your service over there in"NO MANS LAND" I appreciate that. Actually I only have one chopper in the show case. It's that UH-1C Huey you saw , ohh MAN I LOVE THOSE THINGS. The sound they make I bet it struck fear :scared: in the heart of the enemy when they heard thoses babies coming I was just a kid but I have seen and heard enough of them. No other helicopter sounds like that OR MAKE WINDOWS RATTLE like those do  I was 15 by the time we pulled out in '75. The model of the Huey I put together is by Mongram but go here and check this out I think u can still purchase this one.
Check it out :eyecrazy: http://www.daveswebshop.com/10111.shtml

THANKS Milly! I love your Bird. What size engine? Is that a 400 or 455. Can you tell me what is the difference between a Buick, Pontiac and Olds, 455? Would you happen to be a THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHT FOOT fan as well. You got an unbelievable collection of die cast, WOW!!! I like putting models together but I find it so hard to resist these die cast cars, I still have my hot wheels and Tonkas and BUDDY-L's from my kid days, lol.

Things don't look good for Super Chevy in Pamona Calif. tomorrow(04/01/06) it is forcasted 4 days of rain. I stopped by my friends (Big LURCH) house this afternoon while the clouds rolled in and snapped a few pics of his garage and him working on his race car that's suppose to be on the track tomorrow. It's a "DROP DEAD GORGEOUS" 1965 Malibu, with over 700 cubes of insanity for power. In the garage is his son's '70 Nova getting a complete make over from a 11 second car to an 8 sec. car. I know technically a trailer is not a garage but away from home it sort of kind of is so I also included pics of the kool tool chest/cabinet inside the trailer that could easily go in your garage   OHH BTW for you speed demons out there Big Lurch is looking to get his red monster out of the low-8's and into the hi-7's with a little more tuning. All motor no bottle. The car is for sale and he's about to build a 7 second (for sure) '63 SPLIT Window Vett. I'll try to post some pics when he starts on it.

Nice 'sleeper' garage...innocent exterior, potent interior!

SO TRUE, SO TRUE. The garge is deep enough to hold the trailer and wide enough to park another car next to the trailer and still have room to work at the work counter and move his engines around on their engine stands. Also what you can not see in the pic is he has a reinforced steel rafters above with an engine hoist that slides from one side of the garage to the other, and large air compressor out back. May not be a pretty garage but very functional.

HEY EVERYBODY CHECK THIS SITE OUT THEY HAVE SOME GREAT IDEAS FOR DOORS. I THOUGHT ONLY A CARRIAGE HOUES COULD HAVE THESE TYPE OF DOORS. http://www.realcarriagedoors.com/gallery.htm Look at the garages over there. If you are planning on building a garage from the ground up you can get some great ideas from this site. I'm sure plans for these types of garages are in some of those home plan books. See ya:beer:

Well here is my home made, or should I say my weak attempt of making a spray both in my garage . It worked but the lighting was not all that great so i cheated and rolled it out side, cleaned the drive way and wet the ground to keep any loose dust particles down and sprayed out side. I used a new HVLP gravity feed gun which ment more paint on the car then blowing out into the air, hahahaha. HEY I never said I was CHIP FOOSE give me some slack. :lol_hitti

I'll post pics of the wagon when it's done. PAINTING ISN'T AS EASY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. Very frustrating and time consuming for the amature:headscrat :( . I've spent most of the time working on the body and prep before I even got to put the paint on. I'M DOING BASE COAT CLEAR COAT, another mistake, I should have gone with a single stage paint, with this being my first time. Go AHEAD YOU CAN LAUGH. Live and learn. :(
