A while back I had some tool boxes and tools on the local craig's list, here's an offer I received, I passed. I may have missed out but I didn't have a spare $1000 laying around that the guy wanted in addition to my tools and tool box.
saw your matco box listed on craigslist and followed your mickeys list and well a lot caught my eye and i thought i would offer you a trade. i will take all your tools off your hands plus 1,000. in trade for my suburban. if interested i have pics and info listed below.
here is a link to pics of the suburban. http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff239/500inches/83
it is a 1983 GMC 2500 high sierra 4x4 suburban. it was bought in Tennessee and brought up here not to long ago.
i really like to go four wheeling and stuff like that i usually go with a group of friends on the weekends, but i started to rebuild my truck and that forced me to ride shot gun or spot while it was still a blast i was having the itch to drive. the guy i usually rode with blew his engine and with my usual rig some time from being finished, i thought i would just buy a truck to go wheeling with and that would scratch my off roading itch until i could finish my truck. so i found this suburban and bought it. now the village code enforcement is telling me i can no longer have it. i figure instead of fighting it i might as well pick my battles and appease them this time.
it is a factory 3/4 ton 4x4 it has a 1 ton rear 4.11 gears detroit locker 1 ton springs dana 44 HD front 4.11 gears super winch lock outs newer 8" super lift 38.5" tires the engine is a small block Chevy V8 the alternator, battery, hoses tune up etc has been done recently the transmission and transfer case have both been rebuilt very recently the truck has around 76 or 78,000 miles on it. the body is in good shape although there are a few spots that are rusty it is nothing that will cause catastrophic failure the floor pans are solid doors are solid it runs and will drive i think one of the callipers are frozen. it dose need a front u joint in the drive shaft. i do have quite a bit of spare parts that go with it there is a cargo door window, 2 callipers, 3 sets of axle shafts, steering stabilizer, a CD player, weather stripping, extra hoses, vents and some other stuff. the truck doesn't need all of those things but i have them for it. the interior is basic front bucket seats with center council venal floor 2nd row of seats fold down to make a 8" bed it has factory tinted windows ( not that purple stuff ) oil pressure is stable at a shade above 30 psi i replaced the rear bumper it has skid plates also a coat of paint and it will look a whole lot better.
