my very basic shed

my shed 14x 9 meters (25.9 x 29.5 feet )
i had it built by fairdinkum sheds
i dont have many pictures as i had a computer crashed and did not have them saved ,,
i will put up some more later tonight of the build

I stayed on site in a caravan while the shed was getting built to deter those that want free material ,, and here's a pic of my tv aerial ,, best reception we have ever had with it stuck on a pole and basked into the ground

we had very strong winds and the chill factor was freezing ,, soon as the guys had the wall up i asked them if i park in side ,, they were fine with it
All the vents on the van where facing the wind ,,so was a god blessing with that wall to stop the wind

Will post more when i find them

We moved into the shed for nine months living in a caravan in one corner for 9 months while the house was built and i moved every think with this trailer and ute and used plastic crates for all the smalls and made mods to the ramp so i could use a pallet trolley to load 4 crates a trip stacked to high

had to load that dam trolley many times as i need it at both ends lol

this is how i stacked and un stacked the crates each end and i had to unload them each trip to take them back to fill them again

starting to fill up

Had to walk side way's to get to the van with ever thing in the shed

couple of pictures of house under way

it was at this point my computer had a melt down and i lost a lot of pictures

heres a picture of my boat

Well that was it before i decided to make some changes ..

and that is were the boat mods are as of today
And at the moment that's all i can share till i move forward

Good to see another aussie metal shed. i had the same computer trouble, took a long time to get all my photos out of my old computer, but i saved them.

I like the shed, I like the house, but why did you do that to the boat? And is the last pic of the boat redoing the bottom of the hull for some reason? I would think you would have liked the covered cabin in the boat

Hi Kevin the boat was originally a Whittley Impala 5.3 m with a inboard in it .
bought it as a junker and rebuilt it with a pod on it new floor transom and dash area and fitted a new 150 E-tec on the back.
this bought it up to a tidy order as in the 1st picture ,,(in 2009)
BUT there was very little room in the back and was a little bum heavy at rest

it took me near on 2 years to pluck up the nerve to start again,,
had been talking about for to long so one day not so long ago i got up from brekkie and walked out to the shed drew some lines and out come the grinder
It had bunks up the front which we never used so i took the top of and took the bunks out and removed the 150 litre fuel tank which was right down the back ,,
fuel tank is coming forward 700mm ,, new floor right to the front with twin battery's under floor up front ,, and moving every thing forward 1.3 meters ,,there will be new sides and front made and old dash going back in ,, and the clears and cover and stainless bar work going back on for cover,,
At the moment im still at strip out stage (O YER LOTS OF DUST )
Due to my health issues i can only do a little at a time ,but i will get there i have given my self 12 month time frame to finish it ..

Hi Luvit No real plan that i can show at the moment but will look similar as 1st picture with out the side windows and the 2 bottom ones and every thing moves forward about 1.3 meters

It looks like you are using plywood. If it is MDF. make sure you wear a dust mask. I've alway been in good health until a couple of years ago when cutting MDF. I didn't have a mask and ended up with a hell of a lung infection. Long story short, I ended up on an operating table to have a biopsy to have a large cancerous tumor removed. It wasn't a tumor, it was the lung infection showing up what the docs thought was a tumor.

Hi Kevin ..No MDF all ply and fiberglass ,Yes i have bad lungs and have to be very careful of what i do ,, i have a good 3m dust mask i wear all the time ,,
when working on the boat as far as grinding /sanding i take it out side the shed to do this work ,, limits the dust around me ,, we have good wind here most of the time ,, and at the end of most jobs i have a complete clean up in the boat
