As you all know, its generally a bit wet over here, that and all the road salt where we have 2 inches of snow, and the entire country comes to a grinding halt, well its a good excuse to stay at home and catch up on the soaps !!!!

As a result the tin worm eats into everything, and being a Land Rover it does not need much encouragment to be left with what can only be decribed as Swiss cheese ..lol

So the easiest way is to get a new chassis, take it all the bits of the old one (replacing most of it along the way and build a new one !!!

Would it be easier to buy a new ready built one from the factory...most likely.....

But where's the fun it that !!!!!!

as it arrives

I'll have look to see if I've any more 'Decent' pictures

Well, Les, I can attest to the fact that you have a bigger garage than many.... HOWEVER......:bowdown::bowdown:

You are doing a pretty crazy build in the space you have.

I am also absolutely ashamed of the way my tools lie about at the moment. Not that I have ever had sucha neat collection, but my garage was orderly, and I could literally find stuff, tools etc in the dark.
Since moving into this 30x30 foot garage, I have not managed to get any order and a trailer with a load of tools in is still being raided as and when I need tools, like my tap and die set.

Whereabouts in the UK are you ?

I am sure my sig or avatar states Medway or Rochester.

You really are doing what some would call impossible in that small space.

Nice one Les!
Looks very functional, you've got all the right tools for a Lanny conversion!
Its going to be a tight squeeze once you get the body on!

I sold my '89 90 TDI conversion last year and really miss it, I look forward to seeing your project take shape!

Like you i'm in the UK and have a single car attached garage (20ft x 9ft) so space is tight for projects, did my engine conversion outside on the drive, inbetween the rain spells!

To reiterate Grizz above, where about are you based?

Cheers Chris

Wow looks like an awesome project.
Thank God we don't have landies here like you do there. I'd be doing the same thing haha.
For now I'll look over my well worn old copy of lrm and dream of a project like yours, haha
Body wise what will it be getting? Will you be doing any upgrades to more modern spec?

Looks like a great project. It's amazing the thugs that can come out of garages so small
