My very modest garage

Just recently got my garage updated to where I can work on stuff in there!

I've lived here for 5+ years and my garage was mostly just a place to park my vehicle and keep my mowers and stuff.

I just recently started upgrading my tool collection and finally installed a workbench in there.

Got the shop vac ($25) and the Craftsman 30 gallon Air Compressor ($150) off Craigslist. The Wilton vise was free! Harbor Freight 6" bench grinder.

I have a 2nd smaller air compressor 8 gallon from Farm & Fleet.

Thanks! :) Yeah the shop vac had dust and paint all over it! I cleaned it all up with a can of Goof Off. Took that paint right off!

You certainly have a nice space with lots of potential. Can you add your location, city and state, to your profile? You never know. You may have a fellow Garage Journaler down the block.

Why are there little tupperware bowls at the feet of your bench?

LOL !! It's so cheesy I know.. but I put those there to protect the legs from water. In the winter when I pull my vehicle in from all the salt and snow and the garage floor gets covered with salt water and I'm worried it will eat away at the legs.

You could put a brick under the legs instead of your Tupperware,

But if they hold up
More power to ya and its outside the box thinking!
Plus you have a handy nuts and bolt holder that won't walk away on ya!

Welcome. Nice open space you have there. Any plans you are thinking about? Cruise thru some of the garage pages so you can see what others have done or ask questions.

You are already ahead of the game since you know how to score a deal off of CL.

Good luck and remember the rules- pictures, lots of them.
