Mystery HF tool

I was in a drawer I don't often access and found a tool that I must not have ever used.

It appears to be a HF item but there are no stickers or instructions with the box.

I did not find a match on HF.

I tend to think it is some kind of air operated siphon tool. Fuel tank perhaps?

Anyone recognize it and know how it is supposed to work?
Thanks

It looks like a radiator/cooling system vacuum tool. It's used to fill cooling systems by pulling a vacuum and then adding the coolant.

Tommy gets first place with unslow a close runner up.
Danged if I know when or where I bought it but it seems useful.

Here is how it works.

Oops ok, Cdeer001 closed it out.

I have a home made version of that to refill my motorcycle cooling system. Its the only way to get the sytem completly refilled as the rad sits lower than the top of the engine.

Chuckle,
Yeah, I have a couple of other "going to need it someday" tools.

This one is a keeper. Working on my Ford 6.0 in the near future.

Oh, and I now labeled it in case oldheimers kicks in again.

The ***** of it is where does one store these "odd-ball" tools so you (a) remember that you have it and (b) remember where you put the damn thing? I'm pretty organized and like to have everything in its place but, you get yourself a tool like this and where does it even go?!?

As an exercise for myself, this definitively goes into the 'ol "auto tools" drawer. I have other tools that I honestly have forced them into a psuedo category just so I can find them a home. I'm sure I'll forget where that home is come the day I actually need any one of them. :(

I've used mine 4 or 5 times this year. Works awesome, don't have to worry about burping the cooling system or bleeding air out. Took a little to get used to, but I trust mine now.

It’s also the way the factory fills only with a stronger vacuum........benefits:

It’s confirmation there’s no leakage in the complete system.
Complete fill in seconds with no air in the system. No bleed or burping.
Allows for exact coolant doze......no top off, no waste, no over fill.

Similar device used for factory fill on brake fluid.
