I don't know what lift this is, but the picture tell the story best. If this lift can go thru the massive fire and still hold up the full sized SUV, than this is the lift for me.

This fire occured out my way about a month ago. Sorry about the overexposed pics, I had the camera set to low light settings and had forgot to switch it back.

I don't know about the lift but I gotta feel bad for the owner. A pretty sad situation there! I hope he had good insurance.

It looks like the Autolifter lift as well.. I have pics of the one I am buying, just need to find and upload..

Actually if the lift was lowered onto its safety stops, I would have expected it to hold through the fire.. Certainly hydraulic seals would have given way with that much heat..

Thats what I was thinking. I was just a bit suprised that the lifting arms did not sag from the intense heat. I believe the SUV is a Dodge Durango. Those things are heavy. I've seen other fires were metal items sagged.

This business is still open. This was their original shop. They have another building on the lot that allows them to stay open. I expect it to be rebuilt better than ever.

Those lift arms are thicker than the frame rails of that truck. If there was enough heat to distort the lift arms then the frame and the body of the truck would have distorted and the body may have melted.
