I tried searching for a similar topic, but did not find anything.

A while back I picked up these needle nose pliers, because they looked very well made, and I was hoping cleaning them up a bit would reveal markings. After cleaning them up, no markings of any kind were to be found. I thought these were unusual because they have a spring action and stay open at rest, only closing when they are squeezed. Also the wire nipper on the nose is a handy touch as well. They are 7" long overall.

Has anyone seen pliers similar to this before? Like I said, they seem to be pretty well made, and have definitely been around a while.20211127_170835.jpg20211127_170845.jpg20211127_170856.jpg

Probably for electronic work. Likely from the era were components were individually located on a circuit board and soldered down. With these pliers you could bend the wires, cut them, and stick them through the holes in the circuit board with one tool. Quite convienent! I have a set (without the spring) with the cutters at the very end, and research showed this for their use.

Have some old Craftsman mini plier tools like that, with the spring but no cutters. They were made in Japan. Use them all the time for small stuff.
