I have purchased tons of old man toolboxes in the past couple of years, but have not yet seen one like this. When closed, the top is raised, kind of like a casket top. When opened, 2 removable trays are visible. When the 2 trays are removed, an additional tray resides underneath.
The box was full of really big drill bits, pullers, punches, reamer bits, brass punches, huge hardwood mallet, lead hammer, lead bar, 1 1/2" Proto combination wrench, some old Plomb tools etc., (very heavy, had to empty it most of the way out to move it) so I am guessing that James F Smith might have worked on some big stuff, a long time ago..
Anyway, has anyone here seen a box like this?
