Mystery Puller Set or ???

I recently bought a 1940’s Snap-on chest from a fellow on Craigslist. He had purchased it a garage sale, and didn’t know any history of it or its contents. All he knew was that it was a wife cleaning out her late or ex-husband’s “old junk.”

Among the usual things typically found in an old tool box (100 old Allen wrenches, a few hose clamps, a couple old match books and a lighter, hundreds of misc. screws and bolts, etc.) there was also a set of Harley keys and a 30.06 bullet. And then there was this. It appears to be some kind of puller or pulley removal tool set.

Wondering if anyone has a clue about it’s application. I suppose given the Harley keys it could even be motorcycle related? There aren’t really any part numbers on anything. A few of the pieces have a three digit number on them but nothing more than that. Anyone have a clue? (Also, I suspect one or two pieces shown might not be part of whatever set this is.)

Thanks for any help or ideas.

The top left looks like part of a m/c clutch remover.
to the right possible another m/c tool.
The cone below them looks like the spreader piece off some 2 or 3 leg pullers.

The long stepped bolts look like some kind of alignment tools for assembly of something and by the sizes they get big enough to be for old aircraft or industrial pumps etc. but I really have no idea.

The long shoulder bolts on the right and the cylinder below them are identical to the parts in my crankshaft pulley remover. The small cylinder below them with the hole in the side appears to be a gasket cutter. The knurled tool at the top left you've probably already identified as a tap wrench. The long bolt to the right of the ruler is a press screw for some puller. The long screw to the right of that looks like a locating pin. We would use one similar to lock the crankshaft in position through a hole in the side of the block on certain engines while installing a timing belt.
