Haven't had much luck discovering the maker or anything about these sockets. 3/8" drive and no markings what so ever.
Does anyone have some info on these?IMG_20191025_204406450.jpegIMG_20191025_204411767.jpeg

They appear old and I know 3/8" drive was rare pre 40s. The shape is so odd. The taper is all backwards.

Looks like someone took cylindrical (normal) sockets, put them in a lathe, and machined the taper on them. The area removed is where most sockets have their idenification markings, which explains their absence. Examine the finish of the tapered area compared to the unaffected outside diameter of the straight section. It looks like the surface finish on the tapered area is pretty rough.

No idea why anyone would do this, but perhaps to match the size of whatever they used to drive the sockets.
