Mystery socket??

Picked this up the other day, have no idea what it is for. Its 1/2" drive, with a smooth hole approximately 1 1/16" in diameter on the other end. Its completely smooth inside, with no slots or grooves...and absolutely devoid of any markings. Any guesses?

This is used to remove locking lug nuts. pound the socket on with a bfh an then remove with breaker bar , impact , etc.
