Mystery Tool ID

Anyone know what this tool does - it has a 3/8" square socket for a ratchet on one end and seems to twist with a cam action as two opposing edges are rounded over.

I think it may be some sort of brake caliper piston retracting tool as it was in with a bunch of other brake tools but have not seen one like this before.

It's a cheap brake pad spreader (caliper piston pusher backer in "technical" terms).

Thanks - that's what I thought it did - having no makers marks on it suggested a cheapo tool.

Got it along with heap of other brake tools from a deceased estate sale.

Guess I will toss it in a toolbox in case it comes in handy one day.
