I got this at a sale because they are so odd. They are cast aluminum and about 18 inches long. With all the points they look like they are for holding something tight. Any ideas, really appreciate it.

Ice tongs would be my guess. I have some similar that I love salt blocks into the sftner with[emoji2]

Definitely not railroad tie tongs. Design is wrong, plus cast aluminum wouldn't last 10 minutes in a railroad environment lol.

Almost certainly ice tongs. I’m used to seeing them in steel.
