Found this weird socket-type thing under the seat in my wife’s car. She’s had it in for service a number of times, so perhaps one of the mechanics left it in there. It’s the size of a 1/4” drive 7/16” socket and appears to have multiple layers for different types of fasteners, but a 1/4” socket doesn’t fit into either end. Never seen anything like this before.

Maybe an old part for an adjustable seat or window motor. Did they work on the car seat or windows? Looks like it could be a drive coupler.

Nope, never worked on the seats nor the windows. Yeah, thought about it being a coupler or some kind, but for the work done on the car, I'm not sure why it was in the car. Perhaps it was left in there from the assembly line. I guess anything is possible.
