Mystery tools - what are they....

I picked these up at a local estate sale today, one is a Snap on - which looks to be incomplete - a puller or forcing screw as the Germans would say. And one that looks like a type of spring compressor by Hastings tools.

Pics attached - if it works.....

I am just curious about what the tools are for

It is a Valve Guide Remover from 1941 Hastings

What is the pat. # on the handle?

On the front below the "Snap on" it says "PAT. APPL'D FOR"

Then on the back it has this number:

A 00 A 24-1 (it might be A G0 A 24-1)

Found it. It is a Special Ford Tool A-90-A24, Part of a set

V-8 Spring Spreader Part

It is in the 1942 Catalog Page 91

I found one of the attachments in a bag of misc from the same sale - it has a V notch in it like in the pic in the 1948 catalog.

Another interesting tool to hang on the wall of old tools.
