These tools have been laying around my shop for years (see attached photo). I’ve almost been able to place them for the same period but I finally give up. The two silver ones on the left are a kit in the zip lock bag. The gold one on the right is a stand alone. Besides being wrenches, does anyone recognize these and can tell me what tool or piece of equipment they’re associated with?

I remember assembling quite a few cheap new 10-speed bikes a few decades ago. The two in the ziplock bags look like the cheapo generic wrenches that came with the bikes to aid in assembly.

The gizmo on the right could be used as an automotive door panel/door card fastener/clip remover, but based on the hex-shaped cutout on one end, it appears to be just another pre-packaged cheap assembly tool.

Thank you for your’re response. I agree, these tools look like/are cheap assembly tools. The silver ones on the left are rather general and not too concerning. However, the gold one on the right seems more specialized. The notched end looks like it could be just the ticket for something. I also thought of an automotive window crank or door lever removing tool. It could be, but I don’t recall removing those items. My wife took a picture and Googled it. AI suggested it was a main breaker removal tool. Perhaps someone may recognize it with that lead.

Those were THE wrenches you bought in 1972 to carry in your under seat bag for when you got a flat tire, cuz your consumer grade bike did not have quick releases, but bolts holding the rims in place. Long before safety devices to keep them from falling off when doing a wheelie.

Now they are denigrated as assembly tools.

Hummm, that could be; sort of sounds familiar. Back in the 90’s we bought a mountain bike and it had a red, zipper expandable, under seat pouch we kept a spare tube and patch kit in.

The gold gizmo is the most puzzling.
