Mystery vise...anyone???

Here's an interesting one I came across. 4.5" jaws.

Never seen one like it before.
Anyone know what it could be? its un-marked...a similar one was seen in a Railroad Museum in my area.. it is interesting..whole back part is threaded, about 7" worth, so no nut on back end...

It looks similar, but different, to a Walworth.

That one has been for sale in Union IL for over 6 months now---it must be a monster as it only has 4.5" wide jaws, but the seller claims it weighs 80 lbs (hard to believe). In any case, I have no idea who made it.
