I recently acquired this very old wrench. I cant seem to find any discernible markings. Anybody seen anything like this or could estimate its age ?

It looks like a universal style that comes with paint spraygun. No idea on age or make

It looks like a fairly typical old farm implement wrench.

If you want a specific answer, post it a Papaw's Tool Talk; it's kinda their thing!

its technically a buggy wrench, like 100 yearold thing that was pulled by horses. fairly common in the wrench collecting world.

JJ: i would have guessed it was from a farmer's tool box for maybe his tractor or one of his many other tools. i have several that are close to that look.

i'm betting Wrenchguy's name might lead us both to think he might know what he's talking about when he says it's intended use 100 years ago.

Darn that is one ugly pasta drainer spoon why I bet you would get some kind of rusty food poisoning the first time you used it.

All kidding aside go to the following web-site and start looking at all the old posts you will find that exact one that you are looking for:

http://www.wrenchingnews.com/

The square end does look very much like a buggy wrench.
