The file is kinda beat but handle looks pretty good. How do you remove the handle? Bang it off or does it screw off. Thanks

NEVER use a file without a handle! (except needle files)There are countless examples of guys who have driven the file tang through their hand and wrist. However to remove the handle you knock them off with a hammer.
I would recommend not buying a file without a handle or buy a pack of spare handles as they cost very little (I prefer wooden handles)
