I need to replace the siding on my house and garage, and am going with that cement board type. It is suggested to use nails with a ring shank to attach to house. I am looking for a nail gun that would work for that or a nail gun or type of other nails to use?

My framing nailer accepted ring shank 8d nails we used on our Hardieboard. I just had to turn the pressure down.

We have had great results with a regular roofing nailer. 1 3/4 roofing nails and they hold real well.
