My 9' long handled shovel and spoon.. Not fun to use..
Drill bits.... I don;t know where to find good ones, but I can tell you quite a few brands to not buy. No amount of slow speed and cutting lube seems to make hardware store drill bits last.
What tool do ya'll hate?
So true. I started now to take the extra time to get a good toolYeh , me too at first but I've had a lot less trouble with them once I worked out that their name is VERY misleading. They work better if you don't drop them....[emoji38]_hitti
I have had a run recently of "bad" screwdrivers that I have put into various "keep on hand for casual use" toolboxes - you know the ones , the tools you keep in the kitchen drawer (or in the good car that never breaks down etc) ...so you don't have to trek out to the shed for that simple screwdriver. Well I just rounded off yet another a screw-again- using a POS screwdriver that I should have thrown out or at the very least pounded on my anvil and left strung up as an example to other POS cheap tools . So , I hate those cheap tools that I should have never used in the first place when I have so many GOOD tools..... my own stupid lazy fault tho'![]()
tools I don't "get"...
-Adjustable wrenches
-Linesman Pliers
-Nut Drivers
All owned in the past, not any more...
Nut drivers ( what's the point of having a set of them if you can just use a 1/4 socket and save space in your box ), circular saws and crescent wrenches.
so you don't have an adjustable? I don't like them wither but sometimes , very rarely the are the best tool for the job.
Smart Phones. Why? They make for stupid people. Don't believe me people go out on dates or to places with other people yet are glued to their phone. They rely on their phone for everything instead of using their brains and they are a huge distraction for most people when they are doing anything.
Just because you don't understand how to properly use a tool doesn't make it a bad tool.![]()
LOL I know how to use them. I just prefer to use my brain before running to google. Hell i know their capabilities better then 99% of the people that use them. That is because I am and have always been a white hat hacker.
Your brain is a muscle the more you exercise it the stronger it gets and the better off you are. Go talk to some people in the nursing homes learn from your elders.
Also have fun with your data and overage charges.
I own a flip phone. Why? because i can disable the gps, bounce my phone call and remain anonymous. I also own a laptop like 3/4 of the people reading this forum that will do most of what you use your phone for but, do it faster, better, and guess what you don't have to zoom, etc. As for it being a camera buy a go pro and save yourself your data charges, and you have something that is water proof and hella more rugged.
A smartphone is a teather, a recording/tracking device able to be turned on by anyone with a brain without the owner knowing, and a way to charge you $80 a month and laugh at you while doing it. The devices it "replaces" it does piss poorly.
So please explain to me again how I am stupid and do not know how to use something that does everything piss poorly.

A flathead screwdriver being used for its intended purpose.
Freaking hate flathead screws.

That was my only on-topic thought for this thread as well. Hate them.
It's like back in my days of working on older dirtbikes, first thing I did when I popped the covers off was throw those worthless, always hogged out, phillips screws as far as I could then install bolts. Why they didn't put a freaking bolt there to begin with is beyond me! At least with a bolt you have a chance to get the thing out when it's frozen in the block. Stupid screw would just round off 9 times out of 10. Whew glad I got that out of me!!
Not hate but will not buy any tool with Gumby over size coated children handles.
If everything were Torx and hex head I would be happy.
