Today I received a box full of tools in trade for some cylinder heads and I had to drill my brain to remember what some of the tools were for....

So I thought it would be fun to post up the pictures and have people ID them and tell us what they are used for.... Maybe even a trick or advice for how to use the tool.

I feel old now, I got all of those and have used a lot of them.

I actually had a need to use a brake cylinder hone a while back (rebuilding a Studebaker power steering control valve) and realized that it was a tool that most young professional mechanics will probably never use, nor miss...

I needed a pair of these the other day...


I use those all the time.

Helpful for removing flux capacitor from my DeLorean.

Also good for tightening muffler bearings on my 83 Corvette.

Or removing tricky radiator caps from virtually any year Volkswagen Beetle.
