OK- It's that time again! Lets play "Name That Tool!"

A little background, the tool does have some kind of ID number stamped on it- but there is no match through Google. I kindda inherited the thing through either my Dad or Uncle- Both worked for GM for many years, but I don't know if it's a GM specific tool (assembly line?), or some other brand specific.

Any how as you can see there is quite a bit of machining/work went into the thing.

OK, I'm convinced that that is what the tool is-

But I do find it a bit weird that all of those manufacturers who market similar products market them as separate items (one for inserting, one for removing-pulling the lip)- where mine has each on opposite ends.

Thanx Lee

If it's an assembly line tool as opposed to a re fit tool then having all the stuff you need in one hand would make sense.. re fitters tend to carry a tool box around..

Manufacturer would make one in the shop that did both, for efficiency, I assume. Tool seller would make it into two different tools so they could sell more stuff.
