Ok, what do you call the pliers used to remove the squeeze clamps on auto gas lines. The clamps have two ears that you squeeze together to open the clamp and move it. If you use regular pliers the clamp will twist and you loose it. So what do you call the specialty pliers that you use on these clamps? I need a pair but don't know what to ask for and the kids at the stores I go to get a little glassy eyed when I ask. Thanks.

Corbin hose clamp pliers is the proper name for the original ones that were just a loop of spring wire with two prongs to snag your skin and give you a good cut.

I got a pair 25_ years ago when those spring wire hose clamps were common. They are next to impossible to get off with regular pliers or Vice-Grips. I wish I had gotten the ones with the swivel tips. Funny thing is, I don't think I ever used them !
