Saw this today ,I usually see them in the summer but it unseasonably warm lately. What say you . (Measures about 1.5-2.0 Inches.)

Red wasp.
Farmer/neighbor calls them "high altitude" wasps since they're in top of his 80ft silo.

the only thing you need to know is you can spray them with brake cleaner or carb clean and they melt and die.


if there is a next of them the only sure way to be rid of them is to set everything on fire and move

The Winner is Red Wasp ! I hope Termites don't get that big.

Years ago in our woods was this large tree stump which I pushed over by hand (so you know it was rotten). It was infested with termites. I found the queen which was huge...looked like Bibendum (Michelin tire guy). It took it home (didn't get close to house![emoji51]) showing family. It was laying eggs about one every 2 seconds!
I then put her back...wasn't harming anything in the woods.
