Name this Craftsman Clamp. Help!

Picked this up today for $1. It says Craftsman but doesnt have a model # or anything else written on it. Help! What kind of clamp is it? Etc.

You clamp it down to a bench and then top works like a wood vise. I have a Stanley version.

Glad you knew. I never actually knew it purpose other than a portable woodworker style vise

So what was a corner vise used for or should I ask how they were intended to be used.

They were just a portable woodworking vise for use on a jobsite. One application was to clamp it on the end of your sawhorse, you could then lay a door down on its side, use the clamp to hold it, and plane down the door.

It's a clamp on vise, but with the ability to hold pieces vertical.
