I purchased this today. The maker made some nice items from what I see on Ebay. It's very old and heavy for it's size. It looks like a straight edge and it has wheels to roll. It is stamped Queen & Co. Makers Philadelphia. If someone can give me name to call this so I can find it on the net I say thanks.

Many drafting foremen banned them back in the day. A rolling parallel is a great way to make lines that aren't parallel.

They beat me to it...a parallel rule. Good enough for the average sketch, but not fine drafting equipment by any stretch.

Still very cool, though...thanks for sharing it with us.

Also used when navigating utilizing a paper chart. The ones we use are made of plastic.

The last date this company used the Queen and Co. stamp 1912. So it's antique. They were made of brass and wood or all brass. This one looks to be nickle and not plated? Only one has been listed since 2008 on ebay. I'm not paying worthpoint to see for how much. But I sure would like to know! Thanks for all your replys. Pinch
