I might go as high as $35.00 if I wanted it real bad. You still have the shipping to take into account so I doubt I would give more than that though.

yep........same mechanism as cman and they are around $30 new. the matco or napa stamps must have cost danaher a lot of money.........

no but the ratchet mech is the same.......i don't think the locking head is worth more money myself

The locking feature was the only reason I would see going as high as $35.00 for it. I was playing with one of those locking heads the other day and found that feature interesting, but in reality it is probably not anything I would ever miss if it were not there.

What more are you getting for your money from this auction compared to a $20 Craftsman flexhead ratchet?
Both ratchets share the internal parts and have the ever popular lifetime warranty.
The Napa ratchet has that neat headlocking lever, full polish finish, and maybe a more comfortable ergonomic handle. How much are these features worth to you? That's the key.
To me, the ratchet is worth no more than $25 plus shipping. Napa professional tools are good to go but, they retail real high at the local Napa store, and I think they're overpriced.
If it's what you want, try to get it.

Just because it's Mac doesn't make it bad. The only thing I don't like about Mac flexhead ratchets is that, they seem to have alot of side to side lateral play in the flexhead joint even when new.
My $20 Craftsman flex head was "repaired" several times because the pivot pin kept falling out. I finally fixed it for good myself. The "lifetime warranty" is very much open to interpretation.
About $10.
It all depends how much you like the fact that it has a locking mechanism (which I don't believe is too common on a 3/8" drive). If this didn't matter to me I would pay about $20 plus shipping. If I really liked this feature I would pay up to $35 plus shipping.

Actually my Mac crack was due to all the comparisons of the Danaher corp design.
I have a 1/4 drive MR5F Mac that I have used and abused far beyond what it should have been. And for more years then I can remember.
The poor lil thing has never given me a bit of trouble. But yes I agree the wiggle takes a bit of getting used to.

I totally agree, but then again I am not a NAPA fan either!
