There is a 3 day sale Starting tomorrow that has some great Ratchet Prices, but its only for Wholesale accounts. I'm sure if you go into a store and are polite they'd ring you up under a wholesale account under cash.

The Sale is Called "Holiday Mayhem Dealer Days" I'd refer to it as that.

Any tips on how to get the flyer price in store? My local store couldn't even give me the clearance price of the locking flex ratchet even though I showed them the price on their website. They told me that I would have to order it online if I wanted that price (ended up buying it online)

So I'm doubtful they will give me the flyer price which is intended only for wholesale accounts. There are a few more things I'd pick up at the wholesale prices but I wouldn't pay the retail in store price.

Where are you located? Is it something I could ship to you?

That's very generous of you  but I could not ask that of someone. If NAPA would give me the flyer price then I would pick up a few things but I could not inconvenience someone else with it. Thank you though.

The sizes are listed under the features & benefits drop down.

Thanks - that's where I was expecting to see them, but I missed that section due to the eight "recommended items" that appeared between the pickup options and the features/benefits sections. After four or five, I figured it wasn't there. I've spent enough time on their site, but they got me that time. Oops

Yea, the Napa site is not the easiest to navigate (at least for tools) and the Carlyle listings rarely specify what sizes are included in a set. I usually have to look at the pictures and make out the sizes for wrench sets.

I called my local napa, gave them some part numbers. Counter guy said wow this is on a great sale. Ordered couple items that should be in tomorrow, pretty painless for me. I am just a regular joe no commercial account.

I asked my local store about the flyer. The salesman asked me for my wholesale account and I told him that I didn't have one but he looked up model numbers for me and quoted the flyer prices. He ordered the 3/8 locking flex ratchet for me with no freight charge. The 1/4 was only available in Florida and would require an unknown freight charge. The 1/2 were special order with no stock available, unknown lead time, and unknown freight charges. Same for the 2 foot 1/2" breaker.

Good. I'm a sales guy myself and the prices in the flyer are well below my employee price. The Long 1/2" Breaker bar went out of stock Tuesday morning I think. I ordered the next size down and the non locking small ratchets yesterday afternoon all of which had to come from out of town.

I just got the second 3/8 locking flex that I got from the second go of the clearance sale. One major tip, do open these up and put some super lube on them. I compared the new-non lubed one to the one I already had and lubed and it is much smoother, almost feels good as good as my dual 80’s for waaaay less dough.

I did manage to get my local Napa to order the 1/4 & 1/2 for me from the dealer sale but I have to wait another week to get them.

I went back for more too, swung in to drop some battery cores off and asked if my others came in. The 3/8 was there, but no 1/2. Said they sold a bunch of ratchets during the sale. Then I saw the last two they had, both 1/4 drive so I snagged em. Will make good gifts if i dont keep them.

Did you guys get the locking or non-locking models? I already had 3/8 locking flex from previous sale so I also went with locking 1/4 and 1/2. After playing with them might regret going locking vs non-locking. Just curious what you guys got/prefer?

Ive never had a locking flexhead so Im eager to try it out. The non locking has always been annoying since you cant push it on the fastener in tight spaces, the head just rotates away.

Why do you regret it?

I went with the non locking as I've never had the locking, not sure if I would like them. These Carlyle/Powerbuilt/Blackhawk/Tone ratchets have a very positive detent on the flex, making them very rigid even without the locking function. They dont get the "floppy head" syndrome that some ratchets do.

Not really regret but just thinking maybe the non locking might be easier at times. Also my 1/2 lock seems to stick at times.

I got the locking, you just have to kinda eyeball what might work before putting it on the fastener vs with the non-locking you might be able to flex afterwards.

My dual 80’s are non locking flex with no detent so they sometimes do get floppy head syndrome. I prefer locking if I only were to have one set.

There was a lengthy discussion on here about it recently and since this is GJ the consensus was you need both. But in all reality I think it comes down to preference like everything else.

Found it: Flex Head Ratchet Locking or Non - Locking

Anybody else not get the ratchets they ordered? They ended up canceling the 1/2 non locking, said they are all gone. Oh well.

Yep, got it and used it the other day... Im starting to understand why people dont like the locking head.

In tight spaces you can push the socket on the bolt, but then when you try to swing the ratchet, it hits stuff and you cant get to the button to adjust it...
