I have a 20.5'wide x 25'deep 2 car attached garage, I need to find a lift that's ~10-10.5' wide like the Bendpak XPR-10C. I'm not opposed to the Bendpak that's 11' wide, but would at least like to be able to shop around and visit my options and see how narrow I can go. The seam down the middle limits my pad drilling options, so I may have to dig a pier which isn't the end of the world, but I'd like to avoid it if at all possible.

Have you considered the MaxJax? My configuration (floor) is like yours I think, my shop is 19.5x19.5 and the two concrete sections were poured at least 20 years apart, so I have a seam right down the middle. I'm pretty sure, since one of the tower feet will be on the other side of and very close to the seam (runs parallel to a car parked on it) I'll need to excavate and pour a new base. But I am very interested in what turns up here, ergo the BUMP...

I had the same problem - did not want the interior post to "intrude" into the second bay. My solution? BP HD-9STX. I had to be satisfied with the 4 post instead. hope you can work out the wide issue, i could not.

Most two-post lifts are typically around 11 feet wide. However, a four-column mobile lift system may work better for your needs since space is a limitation. Also, a short rise and mid rise lift is perfect for brake and tire servicing needs, if you are not looking to store another vehicle underneath the elevated car in your garage. Depending on your budget inground lifts will have the narrowest footprint.

I don't mind the width intrusion, it's just fitting it in the gap without cutting and digging a pier. I need a 2 post, I do a bunch of transmission work on Audi's as well as dropping entire drivetrains out on a motorcycle lift. I was considering a drive on lift as servicing mid engine cars such as 360's and 430's would be much easier on a drive on lift, but that's a once a year thing usually for the big stuff.

I have both a 4 post (HD-9) and 2 post (XPR-9F). The former has an RJ45 sliding jack, so there are not to many jobs that require one lift over the other. Both of my lifts are narrow. Initially I thought the 4 post would be more restrictive. But I have been proved wrong.
