Hello Everyone,
I've been lurking on this forum for a while and would like some advise from you guys on a build I'm starting to plan. My current house spans the maximum width of my lot and has an attached garage that is 16' wide but very deep with a 9' door on the back. I would like to build another garage behind my current garage and for the sake of not taking away most of width of my yard I'd like to keep the width about 20', but up to 40' deep. The walls will be 12' tall.
I plan on having a 4 post lift and the ability to park a car and leave the lift open. I would also like to be able to park a second car during the winter, I'd be willing to have that block the lift and just do basic maintenance in my attached garage. I'll be using this garage to work on my Camaro and any other project vehicles I may pick up. I would also like to have a decent work space as I gather more equipment like welder(s), bandsaws, and other things that would allow me to do fabrication work.
I'm also thinking that I would have a carport off the front of the garage (roof peak ran parallel to the driveway) that may double as a patio.
Let me know what you guys are thinking for an efficient narrow layout. If I can't find a good way to do the narrow layout I'd like I may be forced to make a garage that's more like a 3 car wide and normal depth.
Thanks!
