Perhaps not strictly a tool, but thought some of the guys here would be interested in this!

It’s a new version of the small flashlights made by ACR / Fulton for the Nasa in the late 60’s / early 70’s.

They’re made in Spain by a company called Barbolight who make divers lights. The owner is obviously something of an enthusiast though, and these have been really nicely done.

There is an LED rather than the original incandescent bulb, but other than that they seem to have kept these as close to original as feasible! The beam is superb, probably the most even of any light I own, and the quality of the manufacturing is absolutely first class!

They have changed the design a little from the version shown on their website, and it now has a plain glass front, more like the original!

Oh yeah - cost was €105 including Spanish tax and delivery to England. I guess you deduct the tax but add a bit more delivery for a U.S. price! Maybe a bit pricey (perhaps not compared to some) but I reckoned I wouldn’t get a Christmas present this decent unless I bought it myself...!

I believe NASA referred to it as a ‘penlight’.

Size is about the same as an AA Mini Maglight, so a big penlight by modern standards, but fits my pocket fine! Either way, to be an accurate re make, they have to stick to the original size!

Price is cheaper than most of the Sure Fire range where I am!
