I picked these up today and have been searching for info on them. I cant find much on them. Anyone know where they were made in the USA and what years they were/still in operation?
Thanks

Marty: you've always had a great eye for those types of items that are just cool. can you post more pictures of the entire set? i love the little case. might not be worth $1,000 like the leather punches you found cheap and sold, but i bet they are well made and maybe worth keeping in your personal collection.

i've got an old set of Starrett punches in a wood container i like to use once in a while or i'll use just an old Craftsman punch if a little more heft is needed.

i didn't mention how much i like the Craftsman vise you found that is one of my favorite models of Craftsman and maybe as well built as the 519x's. nice price too, but i know you already knew that.

cheers buddy and hope you and your gal have a great year in 2016.

Interesting.
Being a tool hoarder, junk picker, antique tool fan etc., I have some stuff I'm not quite sure what it is/ where it came from.

I came across this years ago, no idea where or when.
It is 7/16" by 1 and 5/8 and was glued to something.

Maybe it's off a tool set or similar?

All govt agency's mark their property with the tags like this. Now they have stickers but I am sure the more expensive equiptment still have the metal property tags.

It could belong to anything, from a file cabinet to a booster rocket.:)
This is non-magnetic metal, not a sticker.

I am going to go way out on a limb as they say and make a few guesses, in that my first guess is that if these people were the ones that started the company back in 1963 then picking the buzz word " NASA" was a way to cash in on all the hype at the time for space exploration and two they never would have been used for any work in space.

Not sure even if this was the company but it is a good guess at this time:

I've got a few NASA screwdrivers I really like, seemed like rebranded protos to me. I'll try to remember to snap a pic on Monday.
