Yeah, mechanical anchors are fine assuming your concrete is in really good shape and you drill very nice holes. The epoxy anchor system gives more strength and more room for error with variances in concrete condition and hole quality which is why I am going this route. It does come at a price though!

I've seen too many posts of us DIY's messing up the mechanical anchor install and then needing to pick a new location for the the lift posts. My garage is tiny and I don't have much room for error.

I'm sure it'll work out great for you. Post up some pictures of your C7000. There aren't very many for others to reference. Myself and a couple other guys have but its nothing like the MaxJax following.

My cement is only 3" so I cut and demo'ed a 4ft x 15ft section. I am going to pour a 12" thick slab.

8 ft. I will only be able to lift 4 feet or so. I do plan to set up some anchors in the driveway at some point so I can do full height lifting if a project calla for it.

mine is also 8 foot but i can dome my ceiling a little for some xtra space you did buy the better lift with that one

I've had mine since Jan 2014 and for a home shop it works very well. I lift my cars about 48" and use an office chair that leans back. Very comfortable working position even better than standing imho. Sorry for the sideways photo -I can't figure out how to get it in correctly.

I just had the lift delivered today. Haven't had a chance to take it apart yet but I noticed my arms are only double telescoping. Just e mailed NAT to see if there was a design change and if it is going to change any of the measurements. Looks like a nicely built lift and it was well packed. A bit of a *****
to get off truck. Can't wait to install it!

Mine are double telescoping. I think only the early versions came with the triple arms.

Has everyone installed a dedicated 30 amp circuit when using the c-7000 with 110v? Some guys using the maxjax use a 20 amp circuit even thought the instructions call for a 30. Just trying to get my ducks in a row before ordering one. Thanks!

I've been busy but the lift is installed!! Pictures to come...

To answer the previous post. The lift draws ~10 amps when lifting with nothing on it. I have not had much time to use it, but lifting a 3200lb car it drew a steady 15 amps. I suspect it will take a good amount of weight before it needs more than 20 amps.

I did install a dedicated 30 amp circuit. My 20 amp was shared so I didn't want the chance of tripping the circuit. I used a twist lock 30 amp 125 volt plug and receptacle.For the pump I used 12/3 soow(?) Cord. Works perfectly. The 10 wire soow was too thick to wire into pump.

I run mine off a almost dedicated 15 amp circuit. It works and every once in awhile (like 1/50) it will pop the breaker when I press the button instantly.

I'd like to echo this question.

Does this lift have multiple stops (say every 3 inches) like full size lifts? If not how many positions does it have?

Also, how does releasing them work? In the pictures above, I see a pull on each post. Do you have to make sure to pull them both to release the locks? Seems like it would be difficult to pull both releases and lower the lift by yourself.

The locks are every 4-1/2"-5". It automatically locks when going up. There are probably 20 positions or so. After you raise it up you should lower it on to the last lock for safety. Then when you are ready to lower, raise it up an inch or so, walk over to each post and pull the cable to the unlatch the lock, then lower. When the lift is fully lowered, the lock reset and its ready to automatically lock again once you raise.

You just pull each cable then walk back to the power unit and let the car down. Totally easy. I've had mine for over 2 years now and love it. The only thing that was an issue is that I had to replace my hoses last week. The ones that came with it started dry rotting and I got a pin hole where there is a bend. Replacements are ~$100 each from National but instead I had a really nice set made locally using Gates brand hose.

Thanks guys! Wow that is way better than the 2 positions you get with the Maxjax.

I don't have a high ceiling garage so I wont be able to use the full height but I would get this over the Maxjax just for the multiple lock locations.

Costco has the Danmar lift on sale this month for 1999 and I almost bought it. Glad I found this thread!

When the lift is fully lowered, the lock reset and its ready to automatically lock again once you raise.

The locks reset as soon as you start going up again and go past a locking step on the lift tower. So if you unlock and start going up again it will auto relock.

Bummer you had a bad experience. I can say that my experience was good. I didn't like the lack of instructions/documentation but they answered my questions over the phone and there were no issues.

I can't wait for it to get here!!!

My one worry is delivery. Residential address, no forklift, and I don't have a pickup truck.

They said the delivery truck would hang around for 30 minutes. I plan to have myself and 3 or 4 other guys unpack it on the truck and unload each item individually. I told NAT about this and they said that will work.

Wondering if anyone else has any opinion or words of guidance on this.

Which gets me wondering how 1 person could possibly move a 500 lbs post around, even if on a dolly.

How did you upright the posts when you first got the lift? How many people did it take?

Well I am definitely going to request lift gate service. But how do they move the lift from inside the truck on to the lift gate?

Do they bring a pallet jack on the truck?
