I was there all afternoon today. It's going to be so weird next year to see cars up to 1980 there. They are switching to a 30 year rule, 30 years old or older.

I bought a set of the soft sanding blocks, the guy demo'd them and they look like just the ticket for the sanding I have to do on my Corvette project.

Enjoy the event, this year will probably be the last "real" street rod nationals ever held. :(

I would love to see more. I was last at the Nationals in 1994 for the 25th Anniversary. I would love to get back. Please post some more photos.

So when are we going then ??

I've had so many invites & I just can't seem to get there (the States)
Bonneville will be on the list just as some of the large swaps & SEMA.

Any more pic's ???

Next year, I may go via South America and look for some Falcons. I would be going for the nationals but from what I read here it just may not be the same.
SEMA would be good but that is about the same time as Bendigo Swap meet for us I think.

I have no idea.

Looks like it is held in ONE BIG GARAGE.

It's all in fun Buck. Sad day if someone thinks that was directed at them personally.

By the way, that was a 40 Ford Super Deluxe and needless to say, the paint was flawless.

Surely no one had a problem with that did they? I would have been disappointed if you had not done something like that! It is all part of the joy that is Elroy!!!!!!!!!!!:lol_hitti

Just as long as it's not assassination.

As far as the filter is concerned, It's all jambed in there tight. That's the joys of ownership.

I didn't know Honest Charleys was still in biddness. Nice hole punch. As for the hot rods I give one of my nads for one.

Man, that oil filter is tight. At least they have easy access to the engine to lift it a little to do an oil change!

I'd find a shorter filter.

He needs to use the filter that came on the 86-93 5.0 mustangs. Its easyer than a remote and less plumbing.

Is the reason why many still (too many LOL) put a SBC in these cars - the SBC filter is on the rear and vertical, hard to get a stock Ford filter to fit the frame rails. That's a custom frame, but looks like you still have to jack the motor up on that side to change the filter. Could just be the angle of the photo - might just clear the rail.
