The orifices, at least in most stoves, are at the burners - including the oven and broiler. You then convert the regulator and set the "low" position on the gas valves.

You can get a conversion kit for your model at most parts stores. They aren't usually that expensive and have everything you need and best of all, directions.

Going from propane to nat gas can be done with some know-how and some very small drill bits.

But, going the other way requires smaller orifices. You'll need a conversion kit from the manufacturer.

You need to check with the books for your appliances, some conversions are just adjustments and sometimes you will need a kit.

You will need a kit to change the orifices for going from Nat to LP.

You will usually find the orifices at the end of the burner by the primary air intake. Make, model and serial number will definitely help tracking down on directions.

Some stoves have the replaceable orifices tied onto the back of the appliance on a little thin wire.

My new natural gas furnace came with a conversion kit to change to propane. There were new orifices as stated. I also had to borrow a manometer and adjust the regulator while the furnance was running.
