Natural Stone Epoxy Flooring Around Garage Drain

I need to access the drain in my garage to clean it out. Looks like the previous owner had nature stone put in and the drain cover is fused to the floor and the surrounding stone.. Does anyone know how I can remove without destroying the edges and how this is supposed to be installed ?

I would try cutting the joint around the grille with the smallest, thinnest blade in my vibratory cutter.

Put some twist on the grate grooves, and I bet it pops loose. Kind of ‘unscrew’ it.

You can use a diamond blade to cut around the drain. The wheel wheel discolor the stone that it touches and you can just spot touch up with a cheap clear polyurethane or epoxy.

If you dont want to go that route maybe a hammer and chisel would work.
